Holiday Concerts Moved to Wednesday, December 15th

Hello everyone! Due to the snow day we must postpone our Holiday Concerts until a later date. The date that has the least amount of conflicts is this coming Wednesday, December 15th. The Middle School Concert will still begin at 6:30 PM and the High School Concert will begin at 8:00 PM. I apologize for any inconvenience and realize this is not ideal, however our kids won't perform unless we all try to make this work. Thanks so much and I hope to see you this Wednesday!

A 'Wicked' time in Chicago

Many of you know that the musical "Wicked" is back in Chicago, IL by popular demand. I just want to give you all a heads up that we are planning a short trip to Chicago sometime in December or January to see the show! Group tickets will range anywhere from $45-$60 for the upper balcony seats. If you'd like to see this amazing show, please plan ahead now as we will be purchasing tickets during the first week of school! It is hands down one of the best musicals I have seen! China 2010

Well, we made it back safe and sound and had a blast in Beijing and Shanghai. Now that we've settled back into our routine and current time zone, I'd just like to again offer thanks to all who helped us along the way to make this trip possible. Our performance was amazing on so many levels and the sights were truly breathtaking. I've placed some video (crude as it may be) on this website located on the right side of the page. I hope to post more if anyone is interested. It's good to be home, but I'd go back in a heartbeat!!

MSVMA District Choral Festival

The Grant Choirs performed at the 2010 MSVMA District Choral Festival in Grand Haven, MI on March 19th & 20th. The Concert Choir and Women's Ensemble performed Friday evening and represented Grant extremely well. The Women's Ensemble received an "Excellent" rating which advances them to the State Choral Festival. The Concert Choir received a "Superior" rating and a standing ovation from their audience. They too are advancing to the State Festival

The 8th and 7th Grade Choirs had their festival experience on Saturday. The 8th Grade Choir performed very well and received an "Excellent" rating which advances them to the State Festival. The 7th Grade Choir received a "Good" rating at their first ever festival experience and performed extremely well. I'm very proud of all our choirs!

China Choir Performs with Central Michigan University

On Saturday November 21st, 2009 members of the Grant High School Choirs joined Central Michigan University in Warriner Hall to perform Faure's Requiem. These students will be heading to China in June of 2010 to sing at the World Expo in Shanghai. The performance was amazing, and I'm very proud of our students for this fantastic accomplishment!
